    Sweatpants + TV + Ramble Blog = ♥

    BETTER SAVE UP NOW!
    For the following reasons...

    Sugarsweet
    A Rose Romance
    Double Dazzle
    Naked Honey
    Style Warriors
    ♥ ♥ ♥

    (For info on the upcoming MAC launches, visit my favorite, Temptalia)

    I like nights like tonight where I'm just in sweats relaxing and watching Lifetime and blogging about makeup. =] And I'm extremely excited because one week from now my fiance comes home to visit! It has been a long 2 months since I've seen him last.

    You know what that means?
    Tan
    New outfit
    New heels (or busting out ones I never have the opp to wear!)
    Mani
    Pedi

    Don't you love getting pampered?! I definitely do. I don't mind splurging to boost my self confidence a bit. They say once you're comfortable in a relationship, you stop trying to impress your man. Honestly, it's not that way for me at all. I mean I'm obviously comfortable, but I never stop trying to impress him and we've been together almost 2 years now (with forever to go obviously). I never wanna get boring -- I believe life is all about changes and new chapters and I really love that.

    ATTENTION: ADVICE NEEDED
    I want to work out and tone, but I want to do something fun. I'm just NEVER motivated to get my butt to the gym. It's such a chore. What do you guys recommend?! I want to do something FUN and preferably nothing really expensive!

    Haircut = Success!

    I know it's kind of hard to tell in the pictures, but she texturized like crazy and I love it. I can basically tease the crap out of my hair now and make myself look older. Idk if I look much older in the picture. Sorry for the crappy makeup -- it's been POURING here today and we all know that goes.

    Went to Sally's today and got a couple of teasing combs, which are amazing! I also stopped at Walgreens and got Big Sexy Hair Spray&Play Harder

    (What the heck?! This space wont go away! lol)

    Sorry that I take crappy pictures -- my brother lost the thing that connects my camera to my computer! I'm on the hunt for it and when I find it, I will have MUCH better pics coming your way. For now, you just have to put up with these taken by my MAC webcam. =] Sorry, ladies!

    A big thank you to all the girls who gave me their input. I really appreciate it and love you guys!

    Make Me Over

    *THE CAMERA GAVE ME A FIVEHEAD!*

    This is me. If you had to guess my age, you'd probably say I was somewhere between 16-18. That's what I hear ALL THE TIME at least. (My painter thought I was 14 with no makeup - how embarrassing!) My family all looks young for their age. "You'll appreciate it when you're older." You're right, I probably will, but for right now, I hate it. I am 20 years old and very soon to be 21 and you would never really know. People still think I'm in high school. SO I really want to revamp myself. My makeup does me wonders. I definitely look older when I go all out with my makeup, but I think my hair needs a change.

    I made a hair appointment for Thursday and I'm thinking of a new style. I am growing my hair out so going short isn't an option. (Plus, I've been there -- it really does make me look 14) I'm thinking of getting shorter layers near my crown so I can tease it and give myself bigger hair. Or I was thinking bangs, but I don't know - they're so much work. Last time I had them, I couldn't wait for them to grow out!

    Suggestions? Anything! And I wont take it as an insult -- unless, of course, you are obviously insulting me lol. I do look older with a tan, but I can't go tanning every day. I don't have the time and personally, I'm scared of what the results would be when I'm older.

    This is the haircut I would love to have, but don't know if I could pull it off! These are the girls that do the amazing singing on youtube and I LOVE their hair. I just don't know that my face suits that hairstyle or how I'd even begin to get my bangs like that.

    Opinions/suggestions?

    YSL Haul!

    I'm sorry my blog is so boring! I have been swamped with school and work these past few days. I had a business exam this weekend and I have a week full of homework ahead of me and a Stats exam. I am really not looking forward to it! Anyways, I did use my gift card on YSL and got some goodies! =] All of which I am absolutely in love with. I hate to say it, but I'm starting to like YSL lipstick better than MAC. The texture is just so incredibly creamy and moisturizing. AND it tastes good! So here's a list of what I got and there isn't a thing I don't like!

    Rouge Volupte #1,2,7 Rouge Pur #146, 148 Gloss Pur #2

    Swatches in same order as above! (on NW20 skin)
    *Excuse all my movies and crap in the background!*

    Rouge Volupte #1, #2, #7 (a backup!)

    I am in LOVE with everything. I recommend all of it.

    Anyways, again leave any requests in comments! I feel like I'm so busy I don't have time to keep up with this blog nearly as much as I'd like! When school is over in May, I'll be blogging all the time, but for now, I apologize for how little I do post.

    2. MAC 134 brush -- applies my bronzer perfectly!
    3. MAC's retractable lip brush
    4. MAC subculture lip pencil

    WHAT'S OUT::
    1. Waiting for the Sugarsweet collection and trying not to spend my MAC gift card until then! Gahhh
    2. NYX lipstick -- honestly, I find myself NEVER reaching for these. I don't like them and I'm kind of mad I bought anything from there. I know it's cheaper but I'd much rather save up for some MAC because the quality is a lot better. Or I'd rather break the bank buying YSL =] The only thing I like from NYX is their lip gloss and jumbo eye pencils, and that's it.
    3. Needing better makeup storage -- no more roooom
    4. Planning furniture for an apartment I don't have yet (SOON!)
    5. My hair -- I want this new hairstyle but I'm way too scared someone is gonna screw it up!

    Krystallia
    Makeup J'Adore
    Makeuplover_X
    And anyone else who wants to do this! I don't have many followers yet =] Can't wait to read everyone else's!

    Black Lipgloss?!

    I will be the first to say I love makeup and the art aspect of it. But I find myself having a hard time wrapping my head around this...
    YSL sells to the normal, every-day consumer, you know? I went back to double check and I'm thinking maybe it's nail lacquer? Nope. It's lipgloss alright.

    Would you buy this? What are your thoughts?

    I know black is great especially in editorial makeup, but I don't really see people going onto the Neiman Marcus website looking for black lipgloss.

    Sidenote, I'm about to treat myself to a YSL haul for getting through my accounting exam. =] Aaaand  I have a gift card, so why not? lol If you have any recommendations, let me know! I already have Rouge Volupte in Lingerie Pink and I think I might get another. Anything you LOVE or even hate, let me know!

    Blush Recommendations!

    This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

    Take It or Leave It -- HK Haul!

    Let me start out by saying this is just my opinion. I am not a makeup artist or guru or anything like that, I just share the love for it like most of you do. Everyone has their own personal preference -- this is just mine. Enjoy!

    TAKE IT::
    -Lipsticks -- Fashion Mews & Strayin'
    -Beauty Powder Blushes -- I bought Pretty Baby because it works well with my pink undertones.
    -Eyeshadow Palettes -- I bought both and I love them, but I find myself reaching for Lucky Tom more because I wouldn't wear a hot pink or bright blue on a daily basis. The Too Dolly palette I bought because it's a collector and I just really love the colors, even if I don't wear them all the time.
    -Tippy Blush
    - Milk Pigment
    -Medium make-up bag
    -Pink Fish TLC ♥ -- skip the gloss and reach for this! It's way more pigmented!

    LEAVE IT::
    -Lipglosses -- there is almost no pigmentation. If you wanted one, I suggest Mimmy but honestly, it comes out like just colored glitter. I could do without them.
    -Glitter Liners -- I personally don't use these, but I've heard people that love them.
    -Popster TLC -- I have it, but if I had to pick one, I'd take Pink Fish.
    -Deep Blue Green Pigment
    -Small make-up bag -- it is SO tiny. I bought it but online it didn't seem this small. I could probably only fit a lipgloss, lipstick, mascara and eyeshadow in that thing.

    That's most of it I think. If I didn't mention some things, either I didn't buy them or I just couldn't care whether I had them or not. The accessories are all VERY cute. I know I will definitely be going back for Fashion Mews to buy like 5 or 10 of them when the collection goes away lol! It's way more wearable than Lavender Whip, for those who are too scared of that shade of lipstick. Fashion Mews seems more pink to me and it's not so....intense. I really like it, and I don't use Lip Erase. Hope this helps some of you when planning your HK haul!

    In and Out 003!

    I've been so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to update! I do have a HK haul to get up here but I haven't had the chance. I've had so much school stuff to do! Hopefully after my Accounting exam on Tuesday, I'll get to that! For now, here's an in and out for you guys =]

    WHAT'S IN::
    1. Studio Sculpt foundation and concealer ♥
    2. MAC Retrospeck eyeshadow
    3. Getting a MAC gift card for Valentine's Day (They know me too well! lol)
    4. Versa Spa spray tan -- it's what mystic always should have been.
    5. Chi Silk Infusion and Fekkai Glossing Shampoo
    6. The boy coming home in 3 weeks for a visit! =]

    WHAT'S OUT::
    1. HK lipglosses -- they don't come out nearly as pigmented as they look!
    2. My 224 brush coming apart after 3 weeks. The metal part is loose! Agh!
    3. Not being with my fiance for V-Day and walking into a restaurant of happy couples.
    4. People who weren't happy about your engagement running to me to brag about theirs.
    5. Plane ticket prices! They're getting ridiculously expensive!
    6. Realizing I'm not NC at all, and being stuck with NC25 SSF and loving the NW20 one way more.

    Leave me some comments if you have any requests! Favorite lippies, or eyeshadows, or whatever! I don't know what to write about and I want to know what YOU guys want! =]

    Disappointed!

    I am officially sick of the Stila eyeliner! It is always smudging and smearing. I use it to intensify my top lash line, it smears. The bottom one? Smears more. It sucks because the intensity is so amazing. I'm sticking to the UD 24-7 -- it just doesn't move when I wear it.

    On another note, I know this is supposed to be a beauty blog, but I'm tired of the Navy lifestyle. I think with V-Day coming up, I'm just getting a little...down. I wont see him for another month and it's already been over a month since I saw him last. I'm crossing my fingers so bad that he's eligible for this Navy Early Separation Program. Blahhh. Enough with my sob story!

    You know what fixes this?
    Make-up, chocolate, red wine, and sad movies like P.S. I Love You or The Notebook. =]

    In and Out 002!

    WHAT'S IN::
    1. Two day shipping for my HK!
    2. Cream Team Lip Gloss ♥
    3. Possibly maybe going to see Lady Gaga in March!
    4. Visiting my fiance over spring break :]
    5. Finding gift cards you forgot you had to purchase MAC!
    6. Not going to Statistics class hahaha

    WHAT'S OUT::
    1. Waiting for HK to come to stores. I really need Fashion Mews because it wasn't available on Nordstroms for pre-order!
    2. Homework -- which is ALWAYS out.
    3. Forgetting to charge my camera AGAIN.
    4. The Navy lifestyle.
    5. Being pale -- I need to go tanning.
    6. The creepy guy at Verizon's customer service.

    Anything you guys are absolutely loving (or hating) right now? I'd love to know!

    Studio Sculpt Foundation ♥

    Okay, so I've had a chance to really work with SSF (NC25) over the past few days and honestly found the right way I like to apply it.

    I prefer to mix it with my Strobe Liquid and then follow up by applying it with my 188 brush (and of course a little bit of handwork lol).

    When I apply the foundation without my Strobe Liquid, it's a little bit thicker than I'd like. (Still applies well but I prefer the Strobe Liquid) The liquid makes it a little bit thinner, but gives my face a perfect dewey effect that I love. And because it gets a TINY bit more sheer this way, I prefer to apply it with a brush -- the 188 to give more coverage. The girl at my local MAC store applied it to my face with the 188 and I've loved it that way since.

    So that's my 2 cents on the SSF! The concealer is just awesome. If it were a person, I would marry it! lol That's how much I love it. Coming from a girl with a LOT of blemishes, that says a lot. I used to break out a lot therefore I popped and picked everything (badbadBAD) leaving me with a good amount of scars. *Sigh* BUT this line is worth the money and I don't know if I'll go back to anything else!

    **EDIT**

    I LOVE her, but this totally makes my feet hurt!
    26 CM LOUBOUTINS! (AKA about 10 inches!)

    MAC Haul (Well Defined!)

    Went to the MAC store yesterday and picked up some goodies! (Excuse the horrible quality of pictures -- I took them on my blackberry and I think the lens is dirty! My camera is charging)

    From left to right: 191 brush, 195 brush, Strobe Liquid, Studio Sculpt Foundation NC25, Turquatic perfume, Studio Sculpt concealer NC20.

    I like these brushes, but if I had to choose one, I would choose the concealer brush on the right. I love using it for concealer around my eyes because it feels like a finger. However, if I'm in a rush, I won't grab a brush, I will use my finger! lol But maybe this brush will help me prevent that from now on? The 191 foundation brush is good, but I'm not as crazy about it as my 109. It definitely helps push the product on your face but it takes FOREVER. And honestly, I sleep in a lot and don't have time to use this brush. I recommend the concealer brush though definitely! The other one isn't a "must-have!"

    The Strobe Liquid is one of my new favorites! I mix it with my foundation and it gives me the perfect dewey look. Its light and just gives my face a really pretty glow! In the winter, I need that glow! Lol

    And onto my new love: the Studio Sculpt Foundation. ♥ I LOVE it. The problem I always had with Studio Fix is that it either disappeared by the end of the day or felt way too heavy. (Though I did use it religiously for a long time!) Honestly, this foundation lasts, its light, and its buildable. All the things I've always wanted. I went out last night and when I got home, my whole face was still intact!!! I was amazing considering the crazy night I had (my friend's 21st!) Anyways, they say to "press" this into the skin with the 191 brush, but I prefer to use my fingers. I know, I know. That's not the "right" way, but it's the way that works for me and it's FAST. I actually get a lot of coverage using my fingers with this foundation than I have with any other foundation.

    And finally...the Studio Sculpt Concealer. This is the best concealer I have yet. I only bought NC20 for my redness before I bought it in NW20 for my bad under eye circles. I wasn't about to buy 2 if the one wasn't good. So I bought it, and this concealer does not BUDGE! It's amazing. It doesn't move! I'm so happy with this line. I even went back and ordered the NW20 concealer! I have a lot of blemishes/redness so I really need a good concealer and this baby is it. I really love it and I think it's definitely worth the money.

    Turquatic perfume. LOVELOVELOVE this scent. I have no bad reviews today -- this has been the best haul I've had in a long time! I am head over heels for just about everything except the 191 brush. This scent is so amazing. I am horrible at describing perfumes so I can't even begin to try. But if you have the chance to smell this, please do. I'm pretty sure it's my new favorite. Normally I wear D&G's Light Blue or Gucci's Envy Me (in case you were wondering what I normally like) but this perfume is definitely my new every day scent! The only thing I would change is it's size -- I wish it were a little bigger!

    God, could that have been any longer? Lol I hope it was somewhat helpful! I also preordered my HK from Nordies!!!! I am so fricken excited! I wasn't THAT excited until I saw swatches then I just couldn't resist!

    If any of you bought the Studio Sculpt, let me know if you feel the same. This could just be me, but this line really works for me! Everyone's different! :]

    WHAT'S OUT::
