    GOSH and Nars!

I have been ordering things on the internet the past couple weeks, and things are finally starting to arrive! These 2 packages, however, I was MOST excited about. The rest came today but I have to take pictures later.

    GOSH

-GOSH Darling Lipstick: this lipstick really is everything I hoped it would be. I know it's hard to see it on my skin, but it is so gorgeous on the lips. It's creamy and the perfect nude that doesn't make you look dead. I am so happy they finally decided to sell this in the US. I absolutely LOVE this lipstick.
-GOSH Anemone Lipliner: I didn't order this so I'm assuming it was a free gift. That or someone packed my order wrong! lol Either way, I really like it. It somewhat reminds me of my Rimmel Eastend Snob lipliner. I'll admit I don't wear lipliner every day, but when I do, these are the sorts of colors I resort to. This one is just slightly darker than my natural lip color and it looks really nice on.

    NARS

-Nars California Eyeshadow: this color is beautiful. It's a really pretty copper-y brown. I'm not great at explaining colors, but Nars always does such a great job with their eyeshadows. It wasn't available at Sephora so I was really excited to order it.
-Nars Chelsea Girls Lip Lacquer: LOVE this. It's a perfect nude-pink gloss. It is rather sticky though. I don't mind the stickyness personally, but if you hate it, I don't recommend this. The stickier the gloss usually means the longer it stays. It is such a fabulous color. I'm all about the perfect nude-pink mixture and this is one of them.

I am so avoiding my Stats studying to blog about makeup right now!
Time to get back to it! Love you ladies!

    My MAC Palettes!

I told you girls this post was coming and here it is. My four MAC eyeshadow palettes. I love these so much. They are probably the pride and joy of my collection. Now don't laugh -- they're not the most organized as far as color goes. I'm very much a NEUTRAL girl so I have a ton of them. And then the colors are just kinda thrown in there based on when I bought them. I know which colors are in which palette basically by date. Is that sad? lol Well whatever, it works! =] Enjoy, ladies!

All four palettes side by side.

    Light Neutrals
Row 1: Crystal Avalanche, Femme Fi, Retrospeck, Woodwinked, All That Glitters
(Woodwinked was a casualty of de-potting! lol :)
Row 2: Mylar, Nylon, Flip, Naked Lunch, Honesty
Row 3: Vanilla, Ricepaper, Goldmine, Grand Entrance, Honeylust

    Darks/Random Colors
Row 1: Juxt, Henna, Deep Truth, Graphology, Pin Curl
Row 2: Swimming, Shimmermoss, Typographic, 100 Strokes, Smut
Row 3: Humid, Sweet Lust, Nehru, Sketch, Knight

    Neutrals/Browns
Row 1: Amber Lights, Satin Taupe, Mythology, Copperplate, Beauty Marked
Row 2: Wedge, Sable, Expensive Pink, Handwritten, Twinks
Row 3: Cork, Antiqued, French Cuff, Embark
(French Cuff is also a casualty of de-potting! :)

    Newest Palette (Not Organized!)
Row 1: Shroom, Bronze, Gleam, Soft Brown, Digit
Row 2: Shale, Mulch, Cranberry, Espresso, Contrast
Row 3: Coquette, Trax, Copperring, Swiss Chocolate

Those are my babies =] Is it sad to refer to makeup that way? lol
Probably. More blogs to follow -- I told you I have so much more time on the weekends.
My mom and I are about to head out and do major girlie shopping!
That  Sephora sale is just TOO good to miss!

    Bad News, Favorites, Good News

Sorry I haven't posted in about a week. If anyone follows me on Twitter, then you know my fiance was in town for a long weekend. I was able to post once but I was really wrapped up in spending quality time with him and the family over Easter. I do sincerely apologize. =]

I do come bearing both good and bad news. I think I will start with the bad and end with the good so you leave this blog with some happy news.

    BAD NEWS

I have broken out like a 13 year old girl going through puberty all over again! That's not the worst news. The worst part is it's either because of:

    1. My Prescriptives foundations =[ which I love to death.
But if this is the result, I can no longer wear them.

    2. My serums from the Body Shop.
I can live without these, but it makes me sad nonetheless.

So I'm giving both up for the next few weeks and seeing what happens. I don't know if I've ever been this broken out in my entire life. My forehead, both cheeks, around my nose, my chin and my jawline. I've stopped using these products for 2 days now and no new zits have appeared, which is both good and bad. I don't wanna give up using my Prescriptives makeup because I love it so much lol

    CURRENT FAVORITES!

    1. Maybelline Lash Stiletto
    2. Physicians Formula Baked Eyeshadow Trio (Baked Sands)
    3. Estee Lauder Double Wear Eyeliners
    4.Aveda Volumizing Tonic
    5. Beauty Blender
    6. DAZZLEGLASSES! ♥ (Haul pics maybe?)
    7. Aspirin/Honey mask
    8. Contouring with the 109!
    9. MAC Creme Cup Lipstick
    10. The Body Shop Yes, Yes, Yes Lip Butter (Everyone was right!)

    GOOD NEWS

I did finally take pictures of my palettes and I will be posting those either today or tomorrow. So keep an eye out for that! I told myself I could post a million times once I get through some of my homework. I have more time to blog over the weekend normally, but I'm going to really attack my blog this week! I apologize if I haven't commented your posts in the past few days. I have been on school overload and then there's some Navy drama going on. BUT I'm so ready for some blogging this week!

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter!

    Prescriptives, MAC, Estee Lauder Haul!

I went to Macy's to buy shoes, and I signed up for a Macy's card. (Uh oh!) BUT with good reason. I got a discount on cosmetics for the first 2 days I had it! So I bought some things. I mean, cosmetics are NEVER on sale. Not here at least. And what makeup junkie wouldn't jump at the chance? It's like being a kid in a candy store! =] Enjoy!

    PRESCRIPTIVES

I was matched as having Blue/Red undertones.
I am Rose in liquid foundation and Level 2 Cool in mineral foundation!

    Prescriptives Anywear Sticks:
I bought these to throw in my purse and I really like them! These came together in a package. I think it would be smarter on their part to just make 1 big stick instead of 2 little ones. Or at least have the option. I didn't really want 2 tiny ones but they work nonetheless. So far, no breakouts! They are perfect for on the go.

    Prescriptives Flawless Skin Foundation (Rose):
This is now becoming my HG foundation. Because it's the perfect shade for me, it requires very little blending into my jaw line. I always blend makeup into my neck out of habit, but even if I forgot one morning, with this foundation you would never notice. It's even better than MAC Studio Sculpt for me. Also, my Beauty Blender along with this foundation gives me a great finish! The coverage is just phenomenal for me. It's medium-full and it does the trick! It stays on all day too. I admit, I use the Studio Finish concealer over blemishes, but I really like how this foundation feels. Like I said, RAPIDLY becoming my HG foundation! I've picked it up every single day since I bought it!

Prescriptives Mineral Makeup (Level 2 Cool):
I am officially done with Bare Minerals after trying this, and I never thought I would say that. The coverage and the color are everything I want in a mineral foundation. Like the liquid, this color blends right into my skin. It really gives me that "my skin but better" look. Not a cakey, powdery mess! I can barely use any product and get the coverage I want. You guys know me. I have acne scars and need medium-full coverage. You can use it lightly over your liquid foundation or use your 182 (or any kabuki) and wear it by itself. I am really in love!

    Prescriptives U-Pick (Large):
Buttermilk (top left) Fire (top right)
Antique Gold (bottom left) Espresso (bottom right)
    Brown Sugar Blush (bottom)
4 Eyeshadows and 1 blush of my choice?! Who can resist? Not only that, you can buy refills and switch colors out. This is absolutely the most perfect thing for me. I throw this in my purse and I'm set for a night out or a long weekend. The sections with the 2 eyeshadows can each be pulled out and be replaced with a blush if you wanted to. All 3 sections are as large as the blush section. The only thing that would make this more perfect is if they made a mini brush set to take with you too.

    Swatches:
    MAC

    MAC Fluidline (Dipdown):
Not much to say about this because I LOVE fluidline. I just wanted a brown. I'm sick of always wearing black. There are some neutral looks where I just want a nice brown line on top.
MAC Prep & Prime Line Filler:
This makes my under eye concealer go on really nicely, but I don't know that it does much else for me. I know a lot of people rave about this product, but it doesn't do anything for me. I don't have many lines to fill. I've heard that some people put this on before concealer and some after. I've tried both ways and neither seems to make a difference on me. I also got Refined Zone (not pictured -- forgot! :) and I LOVE that. It's incredible! I wish it wasn't limited edition!

    ESTEE LAUDER
    (DOUBLE WEAR COLLECTION)

    Estee Lauder Shadowcremes
    & Double Wear Eyeliners:
If anyone on here knows anything about me, they should know I love paint pots! I'm attracted to anything like them! lol Anyways, I picked up 3 shadowcremes in Ivory Lace, Antique Gold, and Golden Apricot. The pigmentation is incredible and they don't crease! I wore Golden Apricot the other day with a gold shadow on top and it looked awesome! They are very creamy and a little bit goes a long way! I also got 2 of the eyeliners in Coffee and Onyx. These take 90 seconds to dry and then they stay on for 15 hours. I have to say these are really awesome. My eyes water a lot so it's hard for me to find something to stay in my waterline. I really like to put the Double Wear in Onyx on and then put some UD 24/7 in Zero on top. It stays and it's more intense. Great collection!

    AWARDS:
Before I answer your questions, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to:

Krystallia for my Sexy Blogger Award!
You girls are the sweetest! I am so appreciative!
Sometimes, you guys really make my day. (Okay, every day!)
I wont be doing the awards myself only
because I have so many posts lined up.
I would give them to every single one of my followers anyway. =]
If you would like to do them, and you are a follower of mine, say I nominated you.
    ♥ ♥ ♥

    ANSWERS TO THE INTERVIEW:
    1. What is your real name?
Deanna Margaret Alexis (Not saying my last name for privacy reasons!)
    2. How old are you?
I am 20 years old, going to be 21 in July!
    3. Have you ever been outside the USA? If so, where?
Nope never! I really hope to go to France, Italy and the UK. I'm 100% Italian and I've been dying to go to Italy! My dad doesn't do long flights, but my mom and I plan to take a trip soon hopefully! If not, my fiance and I would love to save up and travel. =]
    4. What do you do for work?
I am a secretary for my family's residential plumbing company. We started the business in 1995 and it's been growing ever since. I know it doesn't sound luxurious, but hey, it's gotten us far in life. My 3 brothers and I are going to own it, and I am taking over my mom's position as treasurer. I'm very lucky to have this opportunity, and I feel truly blessed that my parents have worked so hard for me!
    5. When did you really get into makeup?
I have been into beauty stuff for quite a few years, but I would buy things and not like them simply because I didn't know how to use them. I was completely clueless! Looking back, it's really pretty funny! I'd say I REALLY got into makeup about 8 months ago. I discovered youtube tutorials and product reviews, and I was hooked! Youtube tutorials really got me where I am, and I've already been offered a job at MAC after the semester is over. We'll see what happens! I may keep makeup as just a hobby and do a bit of free lancing on my own.
    6. What are you going to school for?
I am getting my associates degree in Business Administration. I will be done in May and I don't plan on continuing to my bachelor's at the moment. It's hard to go through more school when I have the job security that I do. Again, I'm very lucky to have the opportunity. I am a very good student. School has always been MY THING. I am just burnt out and unmotivated, and I don't think I wanna jump back into school with the mindset that I do. I want to succeed, and I wont if I don't give myself a little bit of a break.
    7. If you could only buy makeup from one brand, what would it be?
MAC. Hands down. I could survive off just them happily.
    8. What is your favorite store(s) to shop at?
Forever 21, Wet Seal, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Metropark, Juicy Couture, Victoria's Secret
    9. If you could only keep 5 things in your whole collection, what would you choose?
I think this has to be THE hardest question ever.
    -MAC MSF Natural in Medium
-YSL Touch Eclat concealer in #2
    -Nars Laguna Bronzer/Orgasm Blush duo
    -UD 24-7 Liner in Zero
    -YSL Faux Cils mascara
    10. What skin care line do you use?
-Clarisonic brush + Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Foam Cleanser
    -Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Toner
-Clean and Clear spot treatment (when needed)
    -Cetaphil Moisturizer

If you have anymore, feel free to ask in the comments and I'll reply! =] Love you ladies!

    Ask Me Anything!

Hi ladies! Because I'm on vacation, it's hard for me to do posts on things such as my palettes and my Nars products. They're all back home in the Chi. Surprisingly, I didn't bring my palettes with me! I only brought a couple of quads and such. It goes without saying that everyone around me was shocked.

SO in light of my situation, I am opening up my blog to any and all questions you would like to ask me. It can be makeup related or not! If you want to know something about me, just ask. Anything you want. However, if they get too personal, I may not answer them in my next post. I will leave this up for a day or two so everyone who wants to ask me something will get the chance. You are not limited to any number of questions. You can ask me 1 or 100. I don't mind! =] Also, if you comment and realize you forgot something, go back and leave me another! Hit me up as many times as you want!

I look forward to reading your questions, girls!
I will dedicate my next post to answering them!
